NSS Camp

 

                    The National Service Scheme (N.S.S.) has been launched by the Central Government of India. National Service Scheme is a community service programme sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India, Department of youth Affairs & Sports, New Delhi. The objective of this scheme is the development of personality through social service scheme. In the N.S.S. Unit of our college 100 students are admitted    during the academic year 2004-2005, following activities were carried out.

1.      World Population Day

            The world population Day was celebrated in the college on the college on 11th July 2004. On this occasion, slogan competition on population was Kuldip Pawar, Anil Kagude , Anil Kokare  stood first, second & third respectively. 

2.      Economic Help for blinds

            The N.S.S. volunteers collected Rs.1630/- for operation of blinds.

3.      Orientation Class

            On 24th July 2004, Orientation class was  organized by the N.S.S. Unit of  our college. The objective of this class was to propagate and inform the objectives and working system of  N.S.S. to the students. N.S.S. program officer  Prof. Uday Mungurdekar, as Chief Guest, inaugurated the orientation programme. In this course Hon'ble Principal A. B. Kasar, N.S.S. programme officer     Dr. W. N. Salave and other members of N.S.S committee gave guidance to the N.S.S. students.

4.      Chh. Shahu Birth Anniversary

            The Birth Anniversary of Chh. Shahu Maharaja was organized in the college. On this occasion, Hon'ble Principal    A.B.Kasar garlanded and saluted the photograph of Chh. Shahu Maharaja dated on 26th July, 2004.

5.      Revolution Day

            The N.S.S. Unit of the college celebrated Revolution Day on 9th Aug. 2004 on that occasion, Hon'ble Principal A.B.Kasar, and Dr. A.S. Joshi gave guidance to the N.S.S. students.

6.      Independence Day

            The N.S.S. volunteers participated in Independence day on 15th Aug. 2004 and saluted the National Flag.

7.      Raksha Bandhan

            The function of Raksha Bandhan was organized in the leprosy colony. Ichalkaranji. The N.S.S. volunteers performed the function of tying rakhi to lepers in Mahatma Gandhi leprosy colony on 30th Aug.2004.

8.      Teacher’s Day

            The function of Teachers’ day was organized in the primary school of Ngarparishad, Ichalkaranji, Aadi Venkatrao Vidya Mandir No.1 Head master shri B.R. Kagwade, N.S.S. programme officer  Dr. W.N. Salave, and Prof. H. P. Shinde gave guidance to the students in the school. On this occasion, N.S.S. Ex volunteers’ Active Group distributed   educational aids to poor students. Kuldip pawar, Ajay Dhapale and other members of active group participated in this function.

9.      International Literacy Day

            Literacy march was organized by N.S.S. Unit of our college at Lalnagar Zopadpattti on      8th September 2004. 

10.    N.S.S. Inauguration

            The programme of N.S.S. inauguration was organized on 10th Sept. 2004. Hon'ble Kiran Katake, inaugurated the   function had gave guidance to the N.S.S. students on "Eradication of superstitions." 

11.    Collection of flowers and cleanliness

            The programme of collection of flowers and offerings gone useless was organized by the N.S.S. Unit at panchaganga ghat on the occasion of ganesh festival i.e. Ganesh festival on 22nd  sept. 2004.

12.    N.S.S. Day

            On 24th sep. 2004 the N.S.S. day was celebrated. The programme for cleanliness of shri swami samarth temple   premises was organized.

13.    Blood Donation Camp

            Blood donation camp was organized in the college on the occasion of the birthday of Hon'ble President of  N.B. Education Society Shri Madanlalji Bohra on 7th  Oct, 2004. This  camp was organised with the help of Lions Blood Bank. In this camp, 48 persons including N.S.S. volunteers and other students donated their blood.

14.    Mahatma Gandhi Birth Anniversary

            On 9th Oct, 2004 cleanliness Campaigns at Tardal Grampanchayat and Kumar Vidyamandir  premises were organized on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Birth Anniversary.

15.    Human Rights day

            On 10th Dec 2004, the programme  of Human Rights day was celebrated in the college. On this occasion a seminar on "Human Rights and consciousness"  was organized in the college.

16.    Decision day

            The N.S.S. Unit of the college celebrated Decision day as declared by Nagarparishad, Ichalkaranji on 13th December 2004. On this occasion, a rally was organized from the college to the Lal Nagar zopadpatti.

17.    Sant Gadge Maharaj Anniversary Day

            The N.S.S. unit of the college celebrated 'Labour day' on 20th December 2004.The Programme for cleanliness of Lal Nagar zopadpatti area was performed on this labor day.

18.    Youth Day

            The N.S.S. unit of the college celebrated Youth day. On this occasion, a   seminar on A Role Of Youth in the Development of the Country, was organised in the college on 17th January 2005.

19.    Republic Day

            The N.S.S. volunteers were present for the flag hoisting ceremony  on the 55th Republic day on 26th Jan. 2005. For carrying out the regular activities of the NSS successfully, efforts were taken by N.S.S programme officer Dr.W.N.Salave and N.S.S. committee members prof. H.P. Shinde, Prof.B.N.Kamble, Prof.A.S.Potdar, Prof. R.R.Patil and    N.S.S. student representative sharad kulkarni and N.S.S. volunteers, The. N.S.S. unit has been working under the valuable guidance of Hon'ble principal A.B.Kasar.
