Youth for water conservation Besides regular activities of the N.S.S., a ten day camp on 'Youth for Water Conservation was organised by Shivaji University from 1st January to 10th January 2005 at Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The Shivaji University organised special Camping programme through N.S.S. for six colleges like Jawant college, Ichalkaranji. Dattajirao Kadam A.S.C. college Ichalkaranji. Shri. Venkatesh Mahavidyalaya, Ichalkaranji., D.R.Mane Mahavidyalaya, Kagal. S.K.Patil Mahavidyalaya, Kurundwad and Annasaheb Dange Arts,Commerce and Science college, Hatkanangale. about 34 N.S.S. volunteers of our college were participated in this special camping programme in the Shivaji University. Prof.Sukhadev Bhole, the Co-Ordinator, N.S.S. Unit , Shivaji University, Kolhapur and prof.Vanmore, District co-coordinator N.S.S. Unit have organised the special camping programme. During the camp period, the activities organised in shivaji university area were cleanliness of the premises of Humanities building, Garden, Main building , Exmination, press building and other departments of the university. Besides, lectures on different topics, cultural programme and seminars were organized during this camp. The N.S.S. Unit of our college organised a cultural programme on 8th January 2005 and Hon'ble Principal A.B.Kasar delivered his speech on Social Services for the N.S.S. volunteers. The valedictory programme of the special N.S.S. camp took place on 10th January 2005, in the presence of the chief guest, Hon'ble Dr. Manikrao Salunkhe Vice-chancellor Shivaji University and Dr. S. N. Desai, Registrar, Shivaji University presided over the function. Hon'ble Dr. B. L. Patil Director B.C.U.D., Shivaji University and Prof. Sukhadev Bhole, the Co-Ordinator , N.S.S. Unit gave guidance to the participants . Miss. Seema Joshi and Swapnil Ghatage, N.S.S. volunteers selected as Best Volunteers of Shri Venkatesh Mahaviyalaya,Ichalkaranji in this special N.S.S.camp.
