In the academic year 2004-2005, the Association organized the following programs. 1. Lecture on “Prospects for Commerce graduates " Prof. K.Vasant, Joint Director, Ashok Mehta Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai, inaugurated the Association on 8th September 2004 and delivered a lecture on "Prospects for Commerce graduates" . He focused on the growing Retailing Culture. Principal A.B.Kasar presided over the function. The lecture was followed by the interactive session. 170 students were present and many of them took part in interaction. Prof. H.P. Shinde introduced the guest. Prof. N.M.Mujawar gave introductory speech. After address by Prof. K.Vasant, Prin. A.B.Kasar gave presidential remarks. 2. Lecture on " Information System Audit" : Mr. Devichand A. Kataria, Sr. Business Manager, Maharashtra Information Technology, Pune delivered a lecture on "Information System Audit" on 4th January2005 The career opportunities for Commerce graduates in core areas of Information System Audit at local and global levels was the focal point of his lecture. Principal A.B.Kasar put his presidential remarks. The lecture was followed by the interactive session in which Mr. Katariya and his associates Mrs. Shobha Chougule, Miss. Gouri Vankudre and Miss. Ashwini Gokhale participated. Nearly 100 students were present. 3. Classroom Activities : a. Perception Test : The perception skill of the students was tested through an exercise. This activity has relevance with the topic on Communication prescribed for study in the paper entitled Principles of Business Management for B.Com.Part-I b. Feelings about the Group : In the organization the informal groups are inevitably formed and play vital role in the smooth running of the organization. They pass through four important stages i.e. Forming, Storming, Norming and Performing. The test was conducted to know the feelings of the students about their group and 'group loyalty'.
